These are some great coins from the Roman Republic, minted between 211- 59 BC by various moneyers. The names of the moneyers provide a more precise way to date the coins, often with the name associated with a specific family or magistracy. These are all genuine denarii from the Roman Republic minted in Rome and made of sliver, most feature the bust of Roma or another god or goddess on one side and on the reverse a scene, usually a god riding a chariot but there are other designs too.
They weight between 3-4g and measure approximately 18mm in diameter with some slight variation due to each coin being struck by hand and years of wear.
They have some great details and wouldn't be far off how a roman would have seen their coins in their hands over 2100 years ago!
