Medieval French Jetton, Shield and cross type token, 600 years old

This is a fantastic French jetton dating from the 1400s. It has a shield with fleur-de-lis and flowers on one side and a lovely cross design on the other with flowers in each quarter. They were likely used as counters for use in calculation on a counting board, a lined board similar to an abacus.
