Henry III voided short cross cut half penny class 7a/ Medieval Silver Coin UK 1216-1272 AD
Low stock: 1 left
This is a fantastic example of a coin from the medieval period, minted in the 13th century by Henry III who reigned between 1216 and 1272 by the moneyer Ilger. The reverse has the iconic voided short cross which helps to guide the cutting of full silver coins into these half pennies to create small change.
These silver fraction coins measure approximately 18mm x 10mm and weighs 0.7g
It has crisp details on both sides and wouldn't be far off how a medieval person would have seen their coins in their hands over 700 years ago!
Please look closely at the photos for the condition and get in touch if you have any questions, I am always happy to help.
