1902 King Edward VII One Third Farthing Coin, Malta issue

This in a one third farthing coin from King Edward VII dated 1902. The original weight of these pieces was one thirtieth ounce, making them the lightest bronze issues in the British series. Struck for use in Malta, where they corresponded in value with the old Maltese grano, third-farthings were never legal tender in the United Kingdom.

Rev: Crowned denomination above date, laurel wreath surrounding.
