This is a fantastic pictorial bottle is from the early 1900s. The tactile embossing on the front says: 'D. LYLE AND SONE' and on the back is a lovely pictorial trade mark of a coat of arms. Around the bottom it says: THIS BOTTLE IS THE PROPERTY OF D. LYLE & SONS TO BE RETURNED WHEN EMPTY. It has a lovely applied internal screw top and unique air bubbles created during its manufacture which would look great in a display.
It has been thoroughly cleaned, please refer to the photos closely for the condition of the bottle.
There is a level of cloudiness to the bottle and the odd knock but other than this it is in good condition with no chips or cracks but it does have a few knocks and scuffs which is to be expected as it has been buried for a long time and dug by hand.
