This is a vintage ink bottle from around the 1920s that has been decoupaged with original Victorian stamps dating from the 1800s which include penny reds, penny lilacs, halfpenny green and halfpenny orange stamps. The bottle was dug by hand from an old dump where it has been since it was discarded about 100 years ago and so it is not perfect having spent such a long time underground. It has had a thorough clean and brand new cork that fits snugly into the bottle which looks great. The stamps have been finished with acrylic varnish to seal the surface and protect them.
This would be a great gift for a writer, student, teacher or stamp collector to put on display or even to be used once again as an ink bottle.
