Geta Silver Denarius, Ancient roman coin with Felicitas reverse
Geta Silver Denarius, Ancient roman coin with Felicitas reverse
Low stock: 1 left
This is a genuine Denarius from the emperor Getan who was Roman emperor with his father Septimius Severus and older brother Caracalla from 209 to 211. Severus died in February 211 and intended for his sons to rule together, but they proved incapable of sharing power, culminating with the murder of Geta in December of that year. On the reverse it features Nobilitas, holding a vertical sceptre in her right hand and a statuette of Minerva in her left hand.
It is in extremely fine condition which is amazing for being over 1800 years old with such crisp details and would be a fantastic addition to a numismatic collection.
Weight: 3.05g
