This is a genuine Denarius coin from the emperor Marcus Aurelius who ruled from 138-161 AD. The reverse depicts the emperor standing left, sacrificing from a patera over an altar.

This is a genuine coin that was minted in Rome over 1800 years ago and would have been a days wages for a skilled labourer or a soldier of the time.
